Happy Halloween!

You had a lot of fun tonight dressed as a puppy dog. We went trick or treating around the neighborhood and by the third or fourth house you really had the hang of it. At one house you even signed more after the person had given you a hand full of candy. It was so funny!

So excited about going trick or treating!

Uh-Uh-Uh-Oh

This picture is from today after your first hair cut. You probably can't tell because I only cut a little bit but I actually cut some hair off the top and the sides. To me you look very different but others probably won't be able to tell. Your hair is so straight except after you get out of the bath and it curls in ringlets in the back. But after you sleep on it it's straight again.

Your new favorite word is "uh-oh". But you say, "uh-uh-uh-oh". It is so cute! You really don't say too many two syllable words so I really started saying "uh-oh" a lot hoping that you would pick up on it and you did. Now every time something falls or drops you say it. How cute.

Pumpkin Patch

This past Saturday we took you to the Pumpkin Patch and to the Fall Festival at school. You had a great time! Since I've brought my pumpkin decorations out and we've been reading pumpkin books you are really into pumpkins. You were excited to see them for real and up close! You ran all over the patch touching and picking up pumpkins. You screamed in delight when we got to the Fall Festival and saw there were children running everywhere! You enjoyed the games including "go fish" and the cake/cookie walk. It was so fun for us to see you having so much fun!

I love the Fall!!!

16 Months

You are 16 months today and it is such a fun age. You are talking nonstop! Most of your words sound like half words and you still have a lot of jargon, but I love to hear you talk. I wanted to keep up with the words you are saying so I made a list below. You love to sing and dance. You love to sing "Wheels on the Bus" and you can do most of the motions. You love to imitate. If I show you a sign or a hand motion you pick it up right away. Your favorite time of day is when I say, "Do you want to go?" You run to the door and say, "go" over and over again. Your favorite books are the Little People flap books and the Emergency Vehicles book. A new sign you have picked up is "more" and I've seen you sign "thank you" once. You have basically transitioned to one nap a day now. For about a month you have been taking a 30 minute morning nap and then a 2 hour afternoon nap. Now, you go down a little earlier and your nap is anywhere from 2 to 3 hours. You are still very sweet. You love to hug and kiss and you will snuggle for about 2 seconds...then you're off!
